The International Workshop for Systems Genetics (IWSG2017) will be held with the aim to develop a foundation of international research hub through exchanging new approaches and challenges in the field of statistical and cancer genetics among the participants.
The advancement in high-throughput sequencing technology has enabled us to comprehensive identification of genetic variants including rare and complex ones. But statistical approaches to derive important knowledge from these large-scale and diverse genetic data are still lacking. For further understanding of biological processes and improved prevention and treatment of the disease, development of efficient statistical methods and finding their effective usage through international collaboration are mandatory.
We are sure that this workshop will enrich our insight into the related field.
